Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Sleep Buddy: Soundscapes ("the app", "we") handles information. We do not collect your personal information ourselves. During the free trial the app shows banner ads served by Google AdMob (see below).
Information we collect
The app has no accounts and does not ask for your name, email address, location, contacts or any other personal details.
Advertising during the free trial
Banner ads are shown only during the 7-day free trial and are removed once your subscription is active. To show ads, Google and its partners may collect and use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA, only if you allow tracking when asked), other device identifiers, IP address-based approximate location, information about how you interact with ads, and diagnostic information such as crash logs and performance data, as described in Google's advertising policies and Privacy Policy. We do not receive this information and do not use analytics tools.
Tracking and consent choices
Where required by law (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland) you'll be asked for consent before ads use your data. You'll also be asked whether to allow tracking across other companies' apps and websites. You can decline and still use the app with non-personalized ads, and you can change this at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Where consent is required, you can also review or change your ad consent at any time with Ad Privacy Choices in the app's Settings. Your consent choice is stored on your device by Google's consent tool.
Data stored on your device
Your saved mixes, recent playback, how often you play each soundscape (used to show your favourites first), sleep timer, alarm time, tone and volume, and appearance settings are stored only on your device and in your device backups. They are not sent to us or to any third party. If your subscription ends, saved mixes stay on your device but can't be opened until you subscribe again. Deleting the app deletes this data.
Notifications
If you turn on the wake-up alarm, the app asks permission to send notifications. Alarms are scheduled on your device; nothing is sent to us.
Subscriptions and payments
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card or Apple Account details. Apple provides us with limited information needed to confirm whether your subscription or free trial is active. Apple's handling of your information is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.
Contacting support
If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message, and we use them only to respond to you.
Children's privacy
The app is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last changed.
